The mentalspace team wants to better understand how the Internet affects our
emotion and mood.

Combining backgrounds in technology, psychology, and philosophy, the mymentalspace team realized the importance of their own 'Internet mental awareness' before launching this site to help others to do the same.

Paul Loe, Senior Application Architect

Paul has spent the past 10 years developing web based applications for Ford Motor Company. Paul has a B.A in Computer Engineering from MSU. Paul is happily married and lives with his wife Bethany in metro Detroit.

Micah Bryan, Application Developer

A graduate of Compute Science from Wayne State University, Micah has been working on application development for the last several years. He prides himself in writing quality applications that are simple to use. An active member of his church, Micah is always looking to give back to the community.

Nicole Lupiloff, Writer

Nicole brings years of experience in marketing and communications to the mentalspace team. Her expertise is in social media strategies. With public relations background in a variety of organizations, Nicole is an avid writer, editor, and proofreader. She has also freelanced in several local publications over the past few years. Nicole holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Journalism from Michigan State University.

Kris Gathuier, Market Research Expert

With a graduate degree in Market Research from Wake Forest, Kris specializes in designing, collecting, and cleaning data. Kris's expertise is in quantitative research. He and his wife are happily married living in metro Detroit.

Chris Lee, Lead Front End Developer & Lead UI Designer

As a proud alumnist of Michigan State University, Chris has had extensive experience in the web industry. He has worked for various Detroit companies: WXYZ Channel 7 Detroit, 3 Point 7 Designs, & Brand Labs. His hobbies include weight lifting, cooking and photography. On the weekends, he often works as a wedding photographer Chris currently resides in Dallas, TX with his girlfriend Rachel.

Patrick Sanders, Creative Marketing Coordinator

Finishing his studies at Wayne State University, Patrick is majoring in Honors Marketing Management. He has a keen interest in creative branding, marketing strategy, and business development. Having been hired at two tech-startups in New York City and Detroit before the age of 21, he is most definitely a hungry entrepreneur-in-the-making. Adrenalized about many activities, he hopes to rock the business world with his passions for creative ingenuity, the great outdoors, and interdisciplinary explorations.

Mark is the Founder & CEO of mymentalspace.com, a free online tool that allows people to self- monitor their Internet behaviors and help prevent Internet addiction. He leads the operations of the business, supported by an incredible technical and research team to implement his vision. By examining behavioral trends on the Web and evaluating the role technology plays in everyday life, Mark is focusing on innovate ways to help manage non-productive Internet use. Frequently speaking at social media conferences and various schools, Mark aspires to educate people on the detrimental effects of non- productive Internet use.

Since 2007, Mark has also been Vice President of Operations at Digerati, Inc., a software company that evaluates business processes, human resources, and technology systems. There he is responsible for the development of the company’s Project Management Office and staff augmentation.

Within the community, Mark participates in a number of organizations, including being on the board of directors for Digerati, Inc. and Neighborhood Service Organization; a non-profit serving the Detroit mental health community. Additionally, Mark is an alumni and on the board of trustees for Leadership Detroit.

Mark earned both a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a concentration in Neuroscience, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics & Management from Albion College. He also obtained a Master of Science in Information Systems with a specialization in Project Management from Walsh College.

Originally from Farmington Hills, Michigan, Mark now resides in Royal Oak.
